November 7, 2005 For the last few years, Raleigh-Durham's parking decks have encouraged the use of their ExitExpress payment-at-kiosk option by having fewer people in tollbooths available to take your money and by hanging up huge 20-foot banners saying "ExitExpress - Take the Easy Way Out." I hope they spent a lot of money trying to trademark that phrase.  Well, coming back from a trip early monday morning I noticed they finally wised up to the old euphanism for suicide. Some new banners have revealed their new slogan: 
Of course the looped audio announcement still thanks you for using ExitExpress "and take the easy way out," and a few of the signs still have the old catchphrase. But now we just need them to stop calling it a "terminal" and describing planes as "departed." Baby steps, people. Baby steps. Filed under Carrboro Area, Journal
