In 2003, MoveOn.org sponsored a "Bush in 30 Seconds" contest/challenge for a public service announcement (PSA) that would rally people around the cause of voting whatshisname out of office in 2004. Around 1500 entries were submitted, and Tommy was one of them.
I wanted to create something upbeat and fun rather than taking the "this is what Bush has done wrong" route. Our recipe: Take some old-school physical comedy. Put it to a traditional-sounding jingle. Stir vigorously and see if you can't dillute voter disillusionment, one of the big causes of low voter turnout--which is one of the bigger frustrations on either side of the political aisle.
