Please see the MediaWiki documentation on customizing the interface and the MediaWiki User's Guide for usage and configuration help.

The formatting of the site will likely evolve as the site grows, but for now let's just try to keep the external links at the bottom of the page.

[edit] Creating New Articles

In general you can create internal links to other articles by typing on the edit page of an existing article:

[[Writing Scams]]

Which will create a link that looks like this:

Writing Scams

If the above article has not yet been created, it will appear in red rather than blue. Clicking on the red link will allow you to initiate the new article.

Alternatively, you may create new articles by typing in the name in the search field to the left and then hitting the "Go."

You will see "No page with this exact title exists," with "this exact title" as a link in red. Click on the link and you will be able to initiate the new article.

[edit] What Should and Shouldn't Be Posted

Guidevines is a resource for writers. If it's a market for submission, tip, online tool, workshop, writer site, convention, or valuable exercise, writers should be able to at least find out about it here.

Do not submit copyrighted works without express permission from the copyright holder. If there's valuable information on an external site, create an article which links to it.

Authors may create articles for themselves with bibliographies, bios, and links to their websites. But a separate article for each book is not necessary.
