[edit] Biography
Born and raised in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, I've been writing short stories ever since I learned to put sentences together. When it finally dawned on me that the market for speculative fiction is in fact non-existent in Holland, I switched to the English language and promptly sold my first story for a whopping 10 dollars. A few years later, a California friend of mine alerted me to the Writers of the Future contest, and I wrote 'Conversation' which went on to achieve published finalist status in 2003.
