Creative Commons is "a nonprofit organization that offers flexible copyright licenses for creative works."

The Creative Commons website helps authors and other artists maintain greater control over the copyrights to their work. By using precreated Creative Commons Licenses, artists may relax some restrictions on a specific work (such as allowing users to share or duplicate) while keeping other rights to it (such as commercial use).

The Guidevines website for example is available free and all its content may be redistributed freely under a Creative Commons Attribution License (See Guidevines:Copyrights).
