Clarion West, like the original (but unaffiliated) Clarion Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers' Workshop, is an intense, six-week workshop is designed to teach writers the skills and disciplines that will help them produce quality, saleable short fiction in the science fiction and fantasy genres. It is held annually in Seattle, WA.
The 2006 Workshop (June 18 - July 28) features instructors Paul Park, Maureen McHugh, Ian MacLeod, Nalo Hopkinson, Ellen Datlow, and Vernor Vinge.
