The Clarion Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers' Workshop is held annually at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. The intense, six-week workshop is designed to teach writers the skills and disciplines that will help them produce quality, saleable short fiction in the science fiction and fantasy genres. Over one third of workshop participants in its over 30 years have been published.

Application Deadline: April 1

The 2006 Workshop (June 26 through August 4) features instructors Samuel R. Delany, Joe Haldeman, Nancy Kress, Gardner Dozois, Kelly Link, and Holly Black.
