Catherine Shaffer is a writer, mother, and former lab technician who lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She moonlights as a science journalist in the field of biotechnology. She enjoys running, swimming, playing the violin, and traveling and camping with her husband and her son. Catherine loves animals and hates bowling.
